I am Kurt Calleja, born on the 5th of May 1989 (Taurus). I am a Maltese. I am a singer full of energy and enthusiasm – always aiming to reach new heights.
I debuted in the music world with my track Over and Over in 2011 after having already sung a year before in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, won the Orfeo in Italia 2010 (Venice), been a resident singer on more than 4 television programs over the years 2007 – 2009.
A year later I was chosen by the Maltese public to represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest (with the song This Is The Night written by myself and Johan Jamtberg) – where we made it to the final after 5 years.
Later in 2012, I was nominated for Best Solo Artist at the Bay Music Awards with my song Boomerang.
July 2013 I launched my album Love On Mars with a concert in Aid of Inspire (An organization that aids children with disabilities.
Though it has been difficult to do so because of me being such a perfectionist it is now here. This album consists of writers from different areas: Tim Laws, Katerina Bramley, K-Warren, Joe Killington, Johan Jamtber (co-writer and composer of Over and Over and This is the night), Chris Denaro and Dan Pursey amongst others.
